此本诗集是北美知名诗人冰花2008年出版的《溪水边的玫瑰》的汉英对照双语版。
《溪水边的玫瑰》自出版以来，在海内外好评如潮，冰花因此书获得了“情诗皇后”、”诗坛玫瑰”等桂冠。其诗歌的影响力被评论家称为“冰花现象”。冰花诗歌的独特风格被称为“冰花体”。
居住在美国的翻译家王大建博士，将此本诗集翻译成了英文。本诗集很好地保留了冰花代表著作《溪水边的玫瑰》的原版内容与风貌，只对少数内容有所删减。该书收录了冰花2008年前的作品101首诗。诗歌风格自然、清新、纯真、隽永又赋哲理。作品反映出现代人对精神生活的追求以及对纯真情感的渴望。

This is an English-Chinese edition of Roses By The Stream, a collection of poetry by the Chinese-American poet, Bing Hua.
Since the publication of its Chinese edition (2008), Roses By The Stream has been highly acclaimed by the overseas Chinese readers. The poet has thus been hailed as “Queen of Poems of Love,” “Rose on the Poetry Forum,” etc. One reviewer even sees this acclaim as “Bing Hua Phenomenon.” Her approach of writing has been recognized as “Bing Hua style.”
Now the whole Chinese collection (with a few poems bring dropped due to other consideration), has been translated into English by Dajian Wang, a Chinese-American translator. The new bilingual edition has retained 101 poems written up to 2008, whose overall contents and poetic approach may be summarized as natural without embellishments, refreshing and ingenuous, mind-probing and sometimes philosophical.
It is expected that the bilingual edition of Roses By The Stream will also attract the interest of the readers in other parts of the world, and that they would equally feel immersed and rinsed heart and soul in the love it carries.
